Community, Commons, Common Sense

As De Angelis, Federici, and others have noted, there are “no commons without community.” The concept of community, however (as, among others, Jean‐Luc Nancy Roberto Esposito shown), has a dark history continuing up until today, when extreme right‐wing or even downright fascist appropriations the understood it as static identitarian unity bound to specific territory ethnicity. While commons‐scholars try circumvent this legacy by emphasizing “praxis” (Dardot Laval) “organizational principle” (De Angelis), they thereby tend neglect important cultural symbolic connotations community (which, in part, seem make movements appealing for certain segments population). In my article, I want raise following question: Do we need sense politics commons, and, if so, what should be? To answer question, will refer back use “common sense” (<em>sensus communis</em>) Immanuel Kant’s <em>Critique Judgment</em>. Characteristic term is that does not an actually existing but rather imaginary anticipated our (aesthetic) judgment. Common sense, other words, involves “acting if”—with dual dimensions <em>acting</em> (i.e., based praxis) <em>as if</em> (an imagined, bordering between fictional real).
